All Shippers Letter # 08-241
Date: 09/04/2008
Time: 4:45 MDT
TO: All Shippers
Subject: Notification of OFO and Recall through Meacham
Scheduled volumes through the Meacham Compressor station for September 5
are above design by 18,000 Dth. Therefore, beginning gas day Saturday, September 6,
2008 until further notice, Northwest will invoke the realignment OFO provisions
outlined in Northwest's Tariff, Section 14.15(d)(iii) to reduce nominations to Northwest's
design capacity of 440,000 Dth/d. Northwest must take this action to protect its system
integrity and its north-end storage balance.
Under Northwest's realignment OFO provisions, shippers are hereby notified
that they must realign nominations from receipt points south of Meacham to
receipt points north of Meacham. Alternatively, shippers may elect to
voluntarily reduce their nominations through Meacham by the OFO volume or
take other mutually agreeable action to alleviate the problem.
In addition, Northwest hereby requests shippers that released firm
transportation contracts with primary receipt points on both sides of Meacham to
immediately recall capacity pursuant to the OFO recall language in
their contracts, to the extent they have OFO exposure.
Such shippers may be able to fulfill their OFO obligations without
recalling releases, for example, by flowing gas from alternate receipt
points or by decreasing their nominations northbound through Meacham. If a
shipper would prefer to make arrangements with Northwest other than recalling
capacity, the shipper should contact its Marketing Services Representative.
Northwest will provide shippers subject to the OFO with their specific OFO
obligations by 4:00 pm MDT. Shippers must comply with the OFO obligations
no later than the Evening nomination deadline (5:00 pm MDT).
If you have questions about this All Shippers Letter, please contact your
Marketing Services representative.
